You were a girl from the country who sat on a front porch who dreamed of a new life in the big city. You gazed upon the lights on the horizon, hoping that your new life would include your dream of becoming a wife and mother.
You graduated from high school, packed your bags and headed towards those big city lights. You got a job in a restaurant where you caught the eye of a city boy who was fascinated by the lovely country girl who didn't even know how to operate a cigarette machine for a customer.
It came true. You married and held 3 healthy babies.
You passed quietly in the early morning hours as a gentle rain fell while thunder rolled through the hills. Some say Jesus walks the earth during those hours. Fresh green leaves were appearing on the trees and the flowers were starting to bloom. I guess Jesus was picking flowers that morning.
