What I Have

I have diamonds on the roof top and on the ground after a frost.

I have woods that light up in the afternoon.

I have flower petals from a pear tree that float in the air like snowflakes.

I have eyes- so I can see these things- in color.

I have a friend who shared her food with me when I couldn't go out and get it myself.

I have a brother who cares enough about me to find me a car at a price people would laugh at and fixed it up and shopped for everything to go with it all the way down to the "little trees", - and then, brought it to me.

I have a niece that, when I requested goldfish for my birthday- didn't just bring me any goldfish- but fancy goldfish.

I have a niece when, I couldn't run my own business anymore - ran it for me.

I have a little dog that, once when I was ill, came and put his tiny paw on me and then, laid down beside me.

I have stars in heaven above me and fireflies in the air all around me, and sometimes I can't tell where one ends and another begins.
